You are soo right Gayan, be innovative and creative

Congratulations to the
            most creative and
Yes <img src=">
most  innovative solution of finalist solution of Imagin Cup Sri Lanka,  Big Smile <img src=">

The finalist together with the ITF should be overjoyed about the innovativeness and creativeness of their project. Even more proud
Sad <img src="> when comparing their innovativeness and creativeness with  how all the other finalist solutions adhered to this.

ITF  try to make Sri Lanka Proud at least this time at the World Competition
Stick out tongue <img src=">. I'm sure that with ur most fascinating creativenessWoot <img src="> u would have no trouble in making us proud.

Remember ur loving and caring
support Zip it! <img src=">that u got at the final Competition will not be there at the World Competition.

All the Best.

HI guys,

I never thought that the ITF is sooo incapable. Come onnnn guys.................... I thought u can do much better than that.

Getting the inputs manually??????? to ur website and just a additional message to a phone???? is that all you can do?

I would not be going on about this, because there is too much dissapointment in stating all the flaws,

I hope you will try harder to come up with a solution which would be of the standerds of a undergraduate level.

ALL the best for u guys and gals

Hey Nilushan,

Thank you for showing us the incability of Faculty of  IT.
That's why Faculty of  IT won all the competetitions which held in Sri Lankan level.
(Imagine Cup 2 times and hSenid Mobile Competition.)
And the other bad thing was those 3 competitions were won by 3 different teams from different batches.

And in hSenid mobile competition best 5 out of 7 solutions were from Faculty of  IT including the winning team.

As far as I know there is no institute called ITF.
We are undergraduates in FIT. FIT means the bond of students, Acadamic staff and Non-Acadamic staff.
That's why we could have acheive all those achivements within just a very short time peroid.
Remember that FIT is only 5 years old.

I won't waste my time writing features of Project Panchauda.
Because I don't think that you are in a position to understand those features.

I don't know the standerds of  undergraduate level.
Why don't you develop  a system and show us? Then we can have an  idea about the  standerds
that you are talking about.
But we are developing systems to meet industrial standards.

And while being innovative, we are in accordance with the rules and regulation posed by the organizers of the competitions.

Seems that you are new to dotnetforum. That's why you are write all these nonsense things on dotnet forum.
Why don't you send your email address? Then you and me can have a personal discussion, to clarify the things that you need to know.

I beg pardon from all the other readers who are reading this post.
Cheers, Gayan Smile <img src=" />

hi guys,

This is a thread about the IMAGIN CUP, so no one should be having any problem with expressing ideas about the Imagine Cup in this thread.

It's because I had great faith about your guys talents that I felt you could have done a much more creative and innovative solution.

I was very exited that I might see a good solution being forwarded to the world by FIT. I guess it was wrong of me to have high hopes about Panchayudha....

It is so true what you say about the fact that you develop for meeting industrial standards.

The Idea of Panchayudha.. might be of Industrial Standards,

But in the IMAGIN cup its imagination which should be the main standard with the other standards being addressed in accordance with the creative and inovative aspect.

I hope this is not a Industrial Cup.... is it?

don't forget that it did not cater to the even the simplest Standards in many ways. It did not even have a proper mechanism to enter the data in a reliable manner.

Was even the simple concept of even Data Reliability, data Consistency addressed in any way in the industrial standards you mention by panchayudha..?

Wonder what sort of a industrial Standard you are talking about...

I repeat, Guys I had no question about the great talent of the FIT guys, the only flaw that I have is about the innovativeness and creativeness of Panchayudha,

I have a doubt if this is really the best proposal FIT could have come up with. may be the creative proposals were not recognized for the Local Final.

Or maybe the loving and caring support was so trustworthy, that Panchayudha did not have to cater the whole Idea of IMAGIN CUP..

I have no doubt that this statement is true.. “ we are in accordance with the rules and regulation posed by the organizers of the competitions” and it was quite very obvious at the end.

concerned,
Nilushan

With the above quote you are questioning the judgement of first round selections. Well! there is no harm in doing so. First round judging panel consisted of Merill, Buddhike, my self and Anton. After going through all 42 proposals, and after rating each one based on the COMPETETION GUIDELINES we selected 5 and project Panchauda was among them. Which means it possessed the necessary criterias. Not only that, during the first round of judging we came across several other good solutions from different universities, but unfortunatly we had to reject or rate low some of those because this is a competetion and solutions are measured based on the competetion guidelines.

Imagine Cup is all about bringing up a next wave of innovative, effective, creative and feasible solutions. So, innovativeness is only one factor, which has a certain percentage in the marking scheme. And each year competetion is given a specific theme. So the solutions must be addressing the theme provided. And the judging will be done according to those. If you can check the imaginecup sri lanka website or spoke.net you will find more details about this.

Cheers! Wela

Wela Together with the MVPs, have done a great job indeed...

they did manage to select some great solutions and bring them to recognition....
i'm sure whole of sri lanka is greatful of you'll for the great effort you took to select finalist solutions
it must have been the hardest challenge anyone could have been given.,
Panchayudha could have been better than that though
